Buist Electric Office Expansion

Buist Electric Inc. has grown more than expected since its office building was built.  At the time of designing and building its office it was estimated that it would provide enough space for at least ten years. Since then, Buist Electric has purchased an audio visual and an electronic security/access company. The newly expanded services now cater to clients needing security access controls as well as sound and projection technology for churches.

The  11,200 sq. ft. addition is designed with 40 offices, combining all project managers and engineers. The first floor is 4,200 while the larger 7,000 sq. ft. second floor is designed to smoothly flow in to the existing office. The major addition allows keeping the project management and engineering teams together and relocating finance and administration staff. The upper level IT, Electrical and A/V space is designed to be a show case of the company’s capabilities. 

This design build project was constructed while adjacent office was in full use, if you can imagine another office being built literally overhead.
